Developed for children

At JAISON, your child is the focus – that's why we develop road bikes that are perfectly tailored to the needs of young adventurers. Our uncompromising focus on child-specific geometry and low weight makes every JAISON bike a reliable companion that is not only light and agile but also meets the highest quality standards.
Nothing on our road bikes is left to chance. Every single part is carefully selected, tested, and optimized where necessary until it meets the strict requirements of our little riders. The result: sports equipment made for kids who enjoy road cycling – whether on a tour with the family, at one of the "big kids' races," or simply on a quick lap through the neighborhood, your child will feel the difference. Light, agile, and ready for any challenge: this is how road cycling becomes real fun!
Every JAISON bike is assembled by hand in Switzerland. We place great value on quality and work with Swiss suppliers to be able to respond flexibly to your individual wishes. This creates a road bike that is just as unique as your child.

The geometry of JAISON children's road bike frames is optimally developed and tuned to the needs of children.

We have paid attention to the following features:
Frame
  • Quality
Our frames are produced according to the highest quality standards. Naturally, all JAISON frames meet the requirements for impact and fatigue strength specified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and have been tested accordingly.
  • Standover height
The standover height of our children's road bike frames is as low as possible. This means they have a short distance between the ground and the top tube. This allows JAISON children's road bikes to be ridden with shorter legs and thus at a smaller body height with already larger wheels. Our frames can be ridden from an age of approx. 6-7 years. From an age of approx. 8-9 years, we already put the children on full-sized 700c wheels (28″). This is made possible by the low standover height. As a result, the advantages of large wheels can be used very early on. High top speeds combined with smooth handling are the result.
  • Bottom Bracket Drop
The bottom bracket drop decisively influences the handling of bicycles. For JAISON children's road bike frames, we have increased this measurement compared to adult bikes. This means the distance between the ground and the bottom bracket is reduced. A low bottom bracket leads to increased stability at high speeds and simultaneously increases control.
  • Chainstay
A balanced chainstay length allows for a stiff frame and a good balance between high cornering speed and excellent agility.
  • Seating position
We rely on shortened head tubes and low stack-to-reach values (< 1.4). This combination makes our road bikes what they were developed for: agile, aggressive, yet extremely easy-to-control racing machines. In addition, this value takes into account the child-specific physique of a tendentially longer torso in relation to leg length.
  • Weight
One of the most important features of a children's bike, regardless of the category. To achieve a low weight, our frames are built with double-butted aluminum tubes and a material-saving geometry. JAISON children's road bike aluminum frames start at a weight of only 1,300g.

We have paid attention to the following features:
  • 1/3 Cranks
The length of the crank arms is one of the features of a children's bike that is often neglected. Unfortunately, cranks that are far too long are often installed. On the one hand, an efficient cadence can hardly be achieved, and on the other hand, large lean angles in corners are impossible because the pedals hit the ground. In addition, cranks that are too long pose a risk of injury to the knees, especially for children in the growth phase. Our crank arms are short enough to allow an efficient stroke with a high cadence and yet long enough to generate decent torque.
  • 2/3 Wheels
Lightweight wheels are a decisive factor in children's bikes and play a central role in the riding experience and safety of young cyclists. Lightweight wheels make handling the bike easier. Children can maneuver, steer, and stop the bike more easily. This promotes confidence and control over the bike. With lighter wheels, children need to use less force to get and keep the bike in motion. A bike with lightweight wheels reacts faster to steering movements and braking maneuvers. This can be crucial for avoiding accidents. Better handling and faster reactions thus contribute significantly to the child's safety. Ultimately, a bike with lightweight wheels is simply more fun. That's why we choose very light aluminum rims for the construction of our wheels, combine them with outstanding hubs with double-sealed ball bearings, and install light yet extremely stiff spokes. Jaison wheels are super light and yet so robust that they pass all tests in the test laboratory, including increased requirements with higher forces.
  • 3/3 Handlebar
Road handlebars for children with a small reach/drop and narrow width are of great importance for the safety and comfort of young cyclists. Our special handlebars are designed to be perfectly matched to children's body dimensions, which brings several advantages. Handlebars with a small reach (distance to the brake lever) and drop (distance between upper and lower grip positions) allow children to adopt an ergonomic riding position. This reduces the strain on the back and shoulders and prevents premature fatigue. The narrow width of the handlebar is optimally matched to the narrower shoulders of children. This improves control over the bike, which is particularly important in corners and at higher speeds. Children feel safer and have more confidence in their riding abilities. In this way, our special, child-friendly road handlebars contribute significantly to ergonomics, control, safety, and riding fun, allowing young cyclists to better develop their skills and increase their enjoyment of cycling.

Our road bikes bear the names of Swiss Alpine passes

Albula Pass

The Albula Pass, located at an altitude of 2,312 meters above sea level, is an impressive example of the majestic beauty that characterizes the Swiss Alps. This picturesque route connects the towns of Tiefencastel in the canton of Graubünden with La Punt in the Engadin and is both a paradise for nature lovers and a significant historical and cultural landmark.
The Albula Pass is particularly well-known for its spectacular landscapes. The road winds through a breathtaking backdrop of towering mountains, green alpine meadows, and crystal-clear streams. For hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, the region offers numerous hiking trails leading through untouched nature and past idyllic villages. A particularly popular hiking route is the path to the Albula Pass Hospice, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
In winter, the Albula Pass transforms into a true winter wonderland. The snow-covered landscapes and the clear, fresh mountain air make the region a popular destination for winter vacationers.
Another highlight of the Albula Pass is the famous Albula Railway, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site "Rhaetian Railway in the Albula / Bernina Landscapes." This historic railway line, in operation since 1903, is considered one of the most beautiful and impressive railway lines in the world. The train journey leads through numerous tunnels, over high viaducts, and offers breathtaking views of the alpine landscape. The Albula Railway is not only a technical masterpiece but also a testament to early 20th-century engineering.
The Albula Pass also has a rich history. As early as the Middle Ages, it was an important trade route and played a decisive role in the economic development of the region. Today, the pass road is well-developed and very popular with cyclists. The winding route offers an exciting riding experience and spectacular panoramic views that make every trip an unforgettable experience.
The small village of Bergün, located at the foot of the pass, is an ideal starting point for tours in the region. Here, visitors will find charming accommodations, traditional Swiss restaurants, and warm hospitality. The village scape is characterized by historic buildings and a picturesque village church, offering an insight into the rich culture and history of the region.
Overall, the Albula Pass is a fascinating destination that reflects the impressive nature and cultural diversity of the Swiss Alps. Whether in summer or winter, the region around the pass offers countless opportunities for adventure and relaxation and is a must for anyone who wants to experience the beauty and magic of the Alps.
