About us

We believe that cycling is not just an activity, but a lifestyle. Our mission is to inspire and connect passionate bike families, bike clubs, and aspiring racers. With high-quality, custom bicycles that combine tradition and innovation, we create unforgettable adventures on two wheels together.

  • 1/3 Our Story
    Jessica and André... Parents of two bright, energetic boys. Cycling is our passion. Without a doubt. For many years, we've spent our free moments, whenever possible, in the saddle. First alone, then as a couple, and now, very often, as a family of four. That's just how life plays out. As parents of two boys who discovered cycling early on, we soon faced problems we hadn't anticipated. While inexpensive, but super heavy, children's bikes from the hardware store were just good enough for the first few meters, we quickly realized that this wouldn't be fun in the long run. Moreover, the kids saw that Mom and Dad's bikes somehow looked much cooler and were also much lighter than their own. So, a road racer for children was needed, with a look like the grown-ups'. However, these are hard to find. For the major players in the bicycle industry, the children's road bike segment is simply not an attractive market. Demand is far too low. Parents often resort to custom builds or imports from overseas.

    Later, as it should be in the age of Alessandra, Jolanda, Nino, and Mathias, the kids wanted to explore the region's trails in addition to the road. In this area too, it's difficult to find truly suitable sports equipment with race capability. There is room for high-quality, full-blooded children's trail and race bikes. These circumstances allowed the idea of JAISON to grow within us. In 2021, after long and intensive development work, the first frames, as well as other child-specific components, were commissioned. The bicycles, especially the geometry of the frames, are designed for the ergonomics of children across various age groups and sizes. They embody the everyday usability gained from countless hours in the saddle, but also the aggressiveness, speed, and lightness needed to win the “big” races of the children's world.

    The goal of JAISON Kids Bikes is to create value in Switzerland. All our bikes are hand-built in Switzerland. We carefully select components and focus on quality, weight, and child-friendly sizes. Where possible, we consider Swiss suppliers for components and accessories. This also allows us to flexibly respond to special customer requests. This costs something, certainly. However, during development and component selection, we never focused on maximizing profit. Instead, we want to produce well-thought-out products of the highest quality, and we are convinced that good feedback is more sustainable than maximized profit. We believe that we have succeeded in developing, designing, and building high-quality and affordable children's bikes in Switzerland. We do this with the conviction that our work will bring young customers a great deal of added value, fun, and not least, success. Your JAISON Kids Bikes Team

 

THE NAME JAISON

We are sometimes asked about the origin of the name.

These are the first letters of our first and last names, combined with the English word 'Son,' which here stands for our two sons.
