FOR A BODY HEIGHT OF APPROX. 115CM

Albstadt 24

Thanks to the well-designed frame geometry, children with a body height of approx. 115cm can already ride with 24″ wheels. With this wheel size, many of the trails in the region can be mastered without problems. It is also often the entry size for competitions.

A lightweight frame with child-specific geometry. Disc brakes, thru-axles, and internally routed cables. Unpretentiously beautiful...

Developed for children

At JAISON, your child is our focus – that's why we develop bikes that are perfectly tailored to the needs of young adventurers. Our uncompromising focus on child-specific geometry and low weight makes every JAISON bike a reliable companion that is not only light and agile but also meets the highest quality standards.
Nothing on our bikes is left to chance. Every single part is carefully selected, tested, and, where necessary, optimized until it meets the strict requirements of our young riders. The result: sports equipment made for kids who love biking – whether on a flowing trail on the local mountain, at one of the "big kids races," or simply on a quick ride through the neighborhood, your child will feel the difference. Light, agile, and ready for any challenge: that's how biking becomes truly fun!
Every JAISON bike is assembled by hand in Switzerland. We place great importance on quality and work with Swiss suppliers to be able to respond flexibly to your individual wishes. This creates a bike that is as unique as your child.

The frames of our JAISON children's mountain bikes are not simply scaled-down adult frames. They incorporate years of experience in children's cycling and the knowledge of what matters most.

We paid attention to the following features:
Frame
  • Quality
Our frames are produced according to the highest quality standards. Of course, all JAISON frames meet the requirements for impact and fatigue resistance specified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and have been tested accordingly.
  • Standover Height
We have lowered the top tube on our children's mountain bike frames. The result is a low standover height. This allows for the use of large wheels even for younger riders. They can thus benefit earlier from the advantages of large wheels. For example, obstacles can be rolled over more easily with large wheels. Control and safety increase.
  • Bottom Bracket Drop
The bottom bracket drop significantly influences a bicycle's handling. For JAISON children's mountain bike frames, we have increased this measurement compared to adult bikes. This means the distance between the ground and the bottom bracket is reduced. A low bottom bracket leads to increased stability at high speeds and simultaneously increases control.
  • Chainstay
JAISON children's mountain bike frames feature shortened chainstays. This noticeably improves handling. Additionally, our bikes are comparatively easy to get onto the rear wheel. For children, this is usually a welcome feature.
  • Seating Position
Short head tubes and small stack-to-reach values make our children's mountain bikes full-blooded cross-country bikes. Additionally, with this value, we consider the child-specific body types with a tendency for a longer torso relative to leg length.
  • Weight
One of the most important features of a children's bicycle. Regardless of the category. To achieve a low weight, our frames are built with double-butted aluminum tubes and a material-saving geometry. JAISON children's mountain bike aluminum frames start at a weight of only 1100g.

We paid attention to the following features:
  • 1/3 Cranks
Cranks for children. A tricky matter. Child-specific needs differ significantly from those of an adult here. The length of the crank arms is one of the features of a children's bicycle that is often neglected. Unfortunately, cranks that are far too long are often installed. On the one hand, an efficient cadence can hardly be achieved, and on the other hand, large lean angles in corners are impossible because the pedals hit the ground. In addition, excessively long cranks, especially for children in their growth phase, pose a risk of knee injury. We install crank arm lengths appropriate for the age and size on every bike. Another important criterion is the so-called Q-factor. This describes the distance between the two crank arms. Crank arms that are close to each other enable ergonomic pedaling and optimal conversion of pedaling power into propulsion. The Q-factor of our JAISON crank is significantly smaller than that of standard cranks. Crucial for efficient pedaling, which increases fun and propulsion.
  • 2/3 Wheels
Lightweight wheels are a decisive factor in children's bicycles and play a central role in the riding experience and safety of young cyclists. Lightweight wheels make handling the bicycle easier. Children can maneuver, steer, and stop the bike more easily. This promotes confidence and control over the bicycle. With lighter wheels, children have to exert less force to get the bike moving and keep it moving. A bike with lightweight wheels reacts faster to steering movements and braking maneuvers. This can be crucial to avoid accidents. Better handling and faster reactions thus contribute significantly to the child's safety. Ultimately, a bike with lightweight wheels is simply more fun. That's why we choose very light aluminum rims for building our wheels, combine them with outstanding hubs with double-sealed ball bearings, and install light yet extremely stiff spokes. Jaison wheels are super light yet so robust that they pass all tests in the test laboratory, even with increased demands and higher forces.
  • 3/3 Handlebar
We install ergonomically shaped handlebars on our kids' bikes to enable young riders to handle them comfortably and safely. The handlebars offer a natural hand position that reduces strain on wrists and shoulders. The adapted shape with a slight backsweep improves control over the bike, which is particularly important on uneven terrain and during longer rides. Furthermore, ergonomic handlebars promote better posture and help prevent fatigue, making the riding experience more pleasant and safer for children. We also adapt our handlebars to children's narrower shoulders while still providing enough width to ensure optimal ergonomics and riding stability.

Our bikes bear the names of UCI Mountain Bike World Cup venues.
