FROM A HEIGHT OF APPROX. 145 CM

Nové Město 29

Designed for young adventurers who want to explore trails and shine in races, this bike offers the perfect combination of performance, durability and versatility.

With the Nové Město 29, kids make the step up to full-size “adult” wheels. Thanks to the significantly lowered top tube combined with the low bottom bracket, the bike can be ridden from a height of 145 cm. The 29ers roll easily over larger obstacles too. Thanks to the very short chainstays, the bike remains agile, nimble and very easy to control.

Designed for kids

At JAISON, your child is at the center of everything we do – that’s why we develop bikes that are perfectly tailored to the needs of young adventurers. Our uncompromising focus on kid-specific geometry and low weight makes every JAISON bike a reliable companion that’s not only light and nimble, but also meets the highest quality standards.
Nothing about our bikes is left to chance. Every single part is carefully selected, tested and optimized where needed until it meets the strict requirements of our young riders. The result: sports equipment made for kids who love riding – whether on the flowy local trail, at one of the “big kids races,” or simply on a fast lap through the neighborhood, your child will feel the difference. Light, agile and ready for any challenge: that’s what makes riding really fun!
Every JAISON bike is hand-assembled in Switzerland. We place great value on quality and work with Swiss suppliers so we can respond flexibly to your individual wishes. The result is a bike that’s just as unique as your child.

The frames of our JAISON kids’ mountain bikes are not simply scaled-down adult frames. They incorporate years of experience in kids’ racing and the know-how of what really matters.

We focused on the following features:
Frame
  • Quality
Our frames are produced to the highest quality standards. Of course, all JAISON frames meet the requirements specified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for impact and fatigue strength and have been tested accordingly.
  • Standover height
We lowered the top tube further on our kids’ mountain bike frames. The result is a low standover height. This makes it possible to use large wheels even for younger riders, so they can benefit earlier from the advantages of big wheels. With larger wheels, for example, obstacles can be rolled over more easily. Control and safety increase.
  • Bottom bracket drop
Bottom bracket drop has a decisive influence on a bike’s handling. On JAISON kids’ mountain bike frames, we increased this measurement compared to adult bikes. That means the distance between the ground and the bottom bracket is reduced. A low bottom bracket improves stability at high speed while also increasing control.
  • Chainstay
JAISON kids’ mountain bike frames feature shortened chainstays. This noticeably improves handling. It also makes our bikes comparatively easy to lift onto the rear wheel – a feature kids usually love.
  • Riding position
Short head tubes and low stack-to-reach values make our kids’ mountain bikes true cross-country bikes. We also use this value to account for kids’ body proportions, with a typically longer torso relative to leg length.
  • Weight
One of the most important features of a kids’ bike. No matter the category. To achieve a low weight, our frames are built with double-butted aluminum tubes and a material-saving geometry. JAISON kids’ mountain bike aluminum frames start at a weight of just 1100 g.

We focused on the following features:
  • 1/3 Cranks
Cranks for kids. A tricky matter. Kids’ specific needs differ greatly from those of adults. Crank arm length is one of the features of a kids’ bike that’s often neglected. Unfortunately, cranks that are far too long are often fitted. On the one hand, it’s almost impossible to achieve an efficient cadence, and on the other hand, large lean angles in corners are impossible because the pedals strike the ground. Cranks that are too long also pose a risk of knee injury, especially for kids in a growth phase. We fit every bike with a crank arm length appropriate to age and height. Another important criterion is the so-called Q-factor. This describes the distance between the two crank arms. Crank arms with a small distance between them enable ergonomic pedaling and optimal transfer of pedaling force into forward motion. The Q-factor of our JAISON crank is significantly smaller than on standard cranks. Crucial for efficient pedaling, which increases both fun and speed.
  • 2/3 Wheels
Lightweight wheels are a decisive factor on kids’ bikes and play a central role in the riding experience and safety of young riders. Lightweight wheels make the bike easier to handle. Kids can maneuver, steer and stop the bike more easily. This builds confidence and control. With lighter wheels, kids need less effort to get the bike moving and keep it rolling. A bike with lightweight wheels responds faster to steering inputs and braking maneuvers. This can be crucial in preventing accidents. Better handling and quicker reactions therefore contribute significantly to a child’s safety. Ultimately, a bike with lightweight wheels is simply more fun. That’s why we choose very light aluminum rims for our wheels, combine them with outstanding hubs with double-sealed ball bearings, and fit light yet extremely stiff spokes. Jaison wheels are super light, yet so robust that they pass all tests in the test lab, including increased requirements with higher forces.
  • 3/3 Handlebar
We fit ergonomically shaped handlebars on our kids’ bikes to give young riders comfortable, safe handling. The bars provide a natural hand position that reduces strain on wrists and shoulders. The adapted shape with a slight backsweep improves control of the bike, which is especially important on rough terrain and on longer rides. In addition, ergonomic handlebars promote better posture and help prevent fatigue, making the riding experience more pleasant and safer for kids. We also adapt our handlebars to children’s narrower shoulders while still offering enough width to ensure optimal ergonomics and riding stability.

Our bikes are named after venues of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup.
