Developed for children

At JAISON, your child is at the center—that's why we develop road bikes that are perfectly tailored to the needs of young adventurers. Our uncompromising focus on child-specific geometry and low weight makes every JAISON bike a reliable companion that is not only light and agile, but also meets the highest quality standards.
Nothing on our road bikes is left to chance. Every single part is carefully selected, tested, and optimized where necessary until it meets the strict requirements of our young riders. The result: sports equipment made for kids who love road cycling—whether on a tour with the family, at one of the "big kids races," or simply on a quick ride through the neighborhood, your child will feel the difference. Every JAISON bike is hand-assembled in Switzerland. We place great value on quality and work with Swiss suppliers to be able to respond flexibly to your individual wishes. This creates a road bike that is as unique as your child.

The children's gravel frames from JAISON are optimally developed and tailored in their geometry to the needs of children.

We have paid attention to the following characteristics:
Frame
  • Quality
    Our frames are produced to the highest quality standards. Of course, all JAISON frames meet the requirements for impact and fatigue resistance specified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and have been tested accordingly.
  • Standover height
    The standover height of our children's road bike frames is as low as possible. This means they have a short distance between the ground and the top tube. This allows JAISON children's road bikes to be ridden with shorter legs and therefore with a smaller body height while already using larger wheels. Our frames can be ridden from an age of approx. 6-7 years. From an age of approx. 8-9 years, we already put children on full-size 700c wheels (28"). This is made possible by the low standover height. This allows the advantages of large wheels to be used very early. High top speeds with smooth riding behavior are the result.
  • Bottom Bracket Drop
    The bottom bracket drop significantly influences the riding behavior of bicycles. On JAISON children's road bike frames, we have increased this measurement compared to adult bikes. This means the distance between the ground and the bottom bracket is reduced. A low bottom bracket leads to increased stability at high speeds and at the same time increases control.
  • Chainstay
    A balanced chainstay length enables a stiff frame and a good balance between high cornering speed while still maintaining very good agility.
  • Riding position
    We use shortened head tubes and small stack-to-reach values (< 1.4). This combination makes our road bikes what they were developed for. Agile, aggressive, and yet extremely controllable racing machines. In addition, with this value we take into account the child-specific body structures of a tendency toward a longer torso in relation to leg length.
  • Weight
    One of the most important features of a children's bike. Regardless of category. To achieve a low weight, our frames are built with double butted aluminum tubes and a material-saving geometry. JAISON children's road bike aluminum frames start at a weight of only 1300g.
  • Quality

  • 1/3 Cranks
    The length of the crank arms is one of the characteristics of a children's bike that is often neglected. Unfortunately, cranks that are far too long are often installed. On the one hand, an efficient cadence can hardly be achieved this way, and on the other hand, large lean angles in corners are impossible because the pedals hit the ground. In addition, cranks that are too long pose an injury risk to the knees, especially for children in the growth phase. Our crank arms are short enough to enable an efficient pedal stroke with a high cadence and yet long enough to generate proper torque.
  • 2/3 Wheels
    Light wheels are a crucial factor in children's bikes and play a central role in the riding experience and safety of young cyclists. Light wheels make handling the bike easier. Children can maneuver, steer, and stop the bike more easily. This promotes confidence and control over the bike. With lighter wheels, children need to exert less force to set the bike in motion and keep it moving. A bike with light wheels responds faster to steering movements and braking maneuvers. This can be crucial in avoiding accidents. Better handling and faster reactions thus contribute significantly to the child's safety. Ultimately, a bike with light wheels is simply more fun. That's why we choose very light aluminum rims for building our wheels, combine them with outstanding hubs with double-sealed ball bearings, and use light yet extremely stiff spokes. Jaison wheels are super light and yet so robust that they pass all tests in the test lab, even with increased requirements and higher forces.
  • 3/3 Handlebar
    Road bike handlebars for children with small reach/drop and narrow width are of great importance for the safety and comfort of young cyclists. Our special handlebars are designed to be perfectly tailored to the body dimensions of children, which brings several advantages. Handlebars with small reach (distance to the brake lever) and drop (distance between upper and lower grip position) allow children to adopt an ergonomic riding position. This reduces the strain on the back and shoulders and prevents premature fatigue. The narrow width of the handlebars is optimally tailored to the narrower shoulders of children. This improves control over the bike, which is especially important in corners and at higher speeds. Children feel safer and have more confidence in their riding abilities. Our special, child-friendly road bike handlebars thus contribute significantly to ergonomics, control, safety, and riding enjoyment, allowing young cyclists to better develop their skills and increase their enjoyment of cycling.

Albula Pass
